Rules

01
Case File | All right, gumshoe, listen up. This ain't no party game, it's like a twisting alleyway in the dark heart of the city, a labyrinth of the mind, and yes, a deep dive into the murky depths of the cyber sea. Trust me, pal, this ain't your grandma's crossword puzzle; it's a brain-twisting, fact-finding, web-surfing tour de force
02
Time is of the Essence | Each case is limited by time, but we ain't talking real-world time. Oh, no. Time in this game is spent opening clues and zipping from location to location
03
Location, Location, Location | Each case could have up to five locations. Staying put doesn't cost a dime, but every relocation is going to cost you an hour. Choose your moves wisely, detective
04
The Game of Clues | Each clue comes with an assigned location. Some might lead you to other clues, some might be a dead-end, just like in the real hard-boiled detective life. Your first clue is on the house - it costs 0 hours. From then on, it's a race against the clock
05
Dive Deep into the Evidence | Evidence can be fingerprints, DNA or other. The lab rats will help you match them with other evidence you find. But be warned, some of these tests can take time and time, as you know, is not your friend
06
Question Time | Think you've cracked the case? Well, hot shot, go and write up a report, answer the questions. Get enough answers right, and you've successfully completed the case. Get it wrong, and you're back to the drawing board, with fewer points to boot
07
Careful Steps | Be careful, though, opening too many clues will eat into your points
08
Tick-Tock | If you run out of time, we'll give you bonus time to open more clues, but it comes at a hefty price - a significant decrease in your final points. So, be sure to use your time wisely
09
The White Flag | Can't crack the case? No shame in that. Surrender, and you'll be able to read all the case details. You won't solve it, but at least you'll sleep better
10
Now, what are you waiting for, Sherlock? | The game is afoot! Grab your magnifying glass, put on your thinking cap, and start cracking those cases. And remember, everyone's a suspect until proven innocent!
